Size DOES matter! More or less, anyway. Always pick out your Peltier devices based on what you need and always keep in check a desire to think, “Bigger is better!”. The fact is, the bigger the Peltier, the more current it will pull and the more massive your hot-side cooling solution will need to be. All works quite nice, but you better have an outside outlet for … This Peltier is the largest unit I have purchased to date. I have several smaller units, but this puts out the most “cold” I’ve ever seen. When I first received it, I tested it with a 1.5 volt D cell battery. It started getting cold/hot almost instantly even with that low power battery (great way to test without burning yourself I might add…and also an excellent, safe way to find the “cold side”).
