Excellent compass with unfair negative reviews due to user errors This is an excellent compass that seems well constructed and durable, with a boat load of features, it’s made in the USA, and it holds a limited lifetime warranty (it sounds like as long as you don’t abuse it or misuse it they’ll fix or replace your compass for life). Good idea, poor manufacturing I ordered the Brunton TruArc20 out of frustration with some QA issues I had with Cammengas. So I decided to go in a different direction and tried the Brunton TruArc 20. Upon opening the package, I was mildly disappointed. After handling a Cammenga, the Brunton feels really cheap. It’s got a plastic shell, with a rubber foot/base.
