Buck knife, great knife. Out of the box it was razor sharp. It is a thick blade and will do what “i want”, which is for camping and hunting. I had a Omni Hunter 10pt for hunting and camping that i loved but opted for the bigger blade, still miss that knife which was stolen. If you are looking for an all around knife, this knife delivers value and quality for under $30.00. You definitely won’t be disappointed.
Not your Fathers Buck knife! I love this knife! So then why 4 stars? The description at the time of purchase made the sheath sound as though horizontal wear was possible. It is not, but back to the knife. I have owned several Buck knives and loved them all. This one was a surprise though, the handle shape while odd at first, has become my favorite thing about this knife. I have big hands and the handle is so comfortable and fits my grip perfectly. This is great camp or field knife for deer. I got this for my son for Christmas. This is great camp or field knife for deer. It is sharp and sturdy, with a thick spine and enough handle for a large hand to grip. The texture provides control in wet conditions. The smaller 10 pt. model is a perfect companion for cleaning game. The Realtree applique on the the handle can be scratched or abraded but it is not really a problem.
