Never been happier to open up a package from anywhere. what can u say ? this is THE Buck knife that people think of when they talk about Buck knives I am 35 and have ALWAYS WANTED this knife and it definitely lives up to every one of dreams as a little kid and now that I have finally gotten one ,and to have paid so little compared to when I’ve seen them in the hunting stores, or the knife shops . A Quality Knife at a Modest Price This is a well made, quality knife. I like it’s look and the fit and finish are excellent as is the leather sheath. When comparing the 119 with the Buck model 124 Frontiersman which I purchased a few months ago, the 124 has a full width tang which can be seen through the guard and sandwiched between the micarta handle slabs and the pommel making for a heavier more robust feel. A Great All Around Knife The 119 is one of the best all around outdoors knives that I have owned. There are some that are better at this or that. When small game hunting and fishing I generally favor a smaller knife like a Case trapper/stockman or Buck110. When deer hunting I feel like a four inch drop point blade like the one on the Buck Vanguard is optimal.
