BUCK 395BK REVIEW BY A NON-EXPERT, AVERAGE USER Absolutely wonderful knife, especially when compared to my knives from China. (This Buck is made in USA.) Super-sharp, good quality blade that opens and closes easily yet firmly, with no play or wobble. Slightly rounded and textured grip gives full user control during opening/closing. Blade lock on the top rather than the bottom of the grip increases user safety. Knife is lightweight, and comes with a nice sheath. Find a reason to buy this product.
Great knife at a great price Came out of the box razor sharp (tested by paper and shaving hair) doesn’t take long to take its edge back but also loses its edge through moderate to heavy works. Strong blade and very corrosion resistant. Handle is kinda cheap and mine rubbed the bottom of the handle black from the sheath but not a big deal. Sheath works great and button has lasted 2 years with only paint being rubbed off. Also the sheath belt loop as lasted good and strong and still hasn’t began to tear.
Nice knife, not highly finished though. Nice knife, but there is room for improvement! I see the criticisms that it is too hard to open with one hand? I like my pocket knife to stay closed until I positively want it open so this one if perfect, not opening in my pocket when I reach for change is important to me! My first one was a bad copy, when opening it, it felt like there was sand inside the hinge due to poor machining and not the finest of finishes, not typical Buck. Oiled it, worked it over and over, there was minimal…
