Outstanding blade, Buck needs to make a specific sheath for this Absolutely perfect blade for those that do not wish to carry a 6″ blade around, such as this knife’s daddy in the Buck 119 Special. Shaves out of the box and is simply a gorgeous knife. But for Buck to place this knife in a sheath that is for the Pathfinder 105, makes carrying it nearly as cumbersome as the 119 itself. This is a limited run and difficult to find (mine came engraved as “045”, so it’s understandable why Buck wouldn’t want to fabricate a sheath specifically for it. But…
Beautiful classic design, but rough example. I was really excited about this knife, as I collect and own many fixed Bucks, old and new.BUT, the example I got was poorly ground, lines are not parallel, the guard is ground at a strange angle, and the hollow grinds are different on each side creating a thick side and a thin side at the edge. Also rough visible tooling chatter marks on the false edge bevels on top near the tip. This example is not what I have come to know and love from Buck, especially an American made…
BUCK 117 Knife The Knife is GREAT. Buck should have come out with a knife this size and style years ago.!!!! But when it comes to the Sheath.. I was very disappointed. This sheath does not fit this knife properly. It is to long!!!! Can’t believe Buck would even think about doing this???????? Hopefuly they will correct this??????
