Celebrating 75 years of the famous 119 special – Hoyt Buck first knife, made from a worn-out file blade in 1902, was a fixed blade. This design later transformed into the iconic 119 special. The us Government requested blade donations for the military after the attack on pearl Harbor. It is then, in the basement of a Church in 1942 that Hoyt Buck began making knives by hand. It was a design that was dialed in after 40 years of making knives to customer specifications. 2017 marks the 75th Anniversary of the Buck 119. It’s a celebration of one man’s passion, transformed into a legacy. In commemoration, every Buck 119 shipped in 2017, will have the 75th Anniversary medallion on the handle
