Full-tang Frontiersman, a cut-above classic. The Buck 124 is a true full tang knife from Buck using their standard 420HC stainless blade steel and a sabre hollow grind profile. As such, the knife is stronger and sturdier than other classic Bucks. The double guard is aluminum, but thicker than standard Bucks, and the handle scales are black micarta, a cut above in quality and durabilitiy over the standard phenolic resin. Now that’s a knife… Another Buck winner! It’s a nice knife. Big. Thick full tang. The handle is full and the large guard is very nice and comfortable. Weight is shifted back into the handle. The blade is thick up top, but tapers toward the edge nicely to aid in cutting tasks. The spine is quite thick. The fit and finish are excellent.
