Very nice, very small pocketknife Beautifully made and with a real sharp edge. It’s as big as a man’s index finger (mine, anyway). Weighs next to nothing, but the blade is large enough (and the lockback in strong enough) to open any bag or box you may face. I thought this would be a bit on the rickety side, but it’s as strong as a larger knife (which wouldn’t fit in your pocket or on your key ring). Great value in a lockback knife This smaller size lockback knife is well made in the US and a great value for the money. I also have other knives of various sizes ranging from fixed blade Moras to locking Opinels to Swiss Army knives with all sorts of tools. All these are handy for specific tasks. The Buck 283 is a great everyday carry knife when all you need is a single blade that securely locks and comes razor sharp for opening mail and boxes, cutting string and other miscellaneous tasks where you don’t need a larger…

Buy this knife if you want a low cost Buck Great work knife with a pretty solid construction. You can cut with this thing all day long. Recently I mounted my TV on the wall and used this knife to cut the drywall. It did a great job and still as sharp as when I bought it. They come in a variety of different color handles and have a clip permanently attached so you can’t move it.I can easily say that you can use this knife every day and if you lose it, it’s not gonna cost you more than a good cheeseburger at your favorite spot.
