Damascus version or useless. Great knife. Classic feel with a modern blade. Iâve used it a great deal and it hasnât needed sharpening, but the blade is actually a good distance away from the handle allowing for it fo be sharpened easier. The pin that is meant to allow for thumb opening is useless. It is too close to the fulcrum to get leverage and too close to the handle to get under to push it. Petty, but has design flaws. Nice knife, looks pretty sweet, like a new fancy version of an old western barber shop razor.However, the blade actually hit the bar holding the frame together. It actually put a noticeable ding in the edge. It does actually say designed in USA on the blade, so I have to blame an American because it seems like a design flaw. I was disappointed I bought this for a friend because I have a similar product from another maker. He has a little soreness in one hand and a single hand option seemed perfect for him.
