At 8.5lbs, the Allagash is one of Byer of Maine’s lightest weighing cots! Easy to carry from the car to your campsite, and it holds up to 250lbs. This cot combines a strong aluminum frame with the high strength 600 Denier polyester to create a strong, durable cot that can hold up to 250lbs lbs. Wide enough to support both children and adults, it’s not so big that multiple cots can’t be used safely in a tent. When you’re finished with it, just slide the legs into their own sleeve and use the attached straps to roll the cot up into a single, easy to carry bundle. Even better, the legs make a convenient handle to transport it!

Awesome with one flaw! I bought two of these to use on Scout camping trips. One for me and one for my 12 year old. Other people warned, in their reviews, that it could be hard to assemble due to the tension in the legs. Neither my wife nor I had an issue assembling the cot. My 12 year old has a very hard time. You have to get directly lined up with the leg holes, put one leg in the side and then bend the other side into that hole. If you place one hand on the rail and the other on the leg and pull back like a bow and…

Loved this cot – but nearly impossible for anyone but a body-builder to assemble. I shopped a lot before buying this, and I would have given it a glowing 5 star review if I had been able to assemble it. I did see all the comments about it being hard to get the legs in – but I thought it couldn’t be as tough as others were saying. HOWEVER, my husband who is a burly pipe fitter strained to get the legs in! He had to use most of his strength and his arms were shaking as he tried to pull the bars and place them. The legs are made of 1/4 inch solid steel bars – so there is…

Very happy with this purchase. Just what we needed. I am thrilled with the purchase of these cots. They are exactly what I wanted. I researched low profile cots for several weeks prior to purchasing two of these cots. We are involved in cub scouts and we camp a lot as a family. We already own two other cots, but they are very heavy and cumbersome. In my quest for the perfect cot, I needed something that was lightweight, compact, easy to set up, and had at least a 30-in. width. (There are more compact, lightweight cots on the market,…
