Bummer Bought two 18 ft units. First thing off on one of the units would not connect to barrel connector because of excess solder on side of pl 259 connection. Had to file it down smooth. Then when connected to antenna the SWR was almost 4 to 1. Opened up second cable and it was 3 to 1. Bought two 20 ft sections of 8x cables from DX Engineer and used same antenna and barrel connector and SWR was 1.6 to 1 before adjusted antenna. My recommendation is DO NOT BUY.
Cable doesnât say RG8X anywhere on it?? I gave a feeling Iâve been dupedNo way to check exactly what you got here. Without cutting inside. Never heard of this cable.
Not Impressed As a ham radio operator I’ve purchased and made many cables over my 40+ as a radio operator and I’ve purchased Cable Expert cables before from other sources and they have worked great….but NOT these! I purchased 3 of these cables. The connector threads are real rough and don’t spin on very easily. The threads feel rough, I suspect the connectors are low quality. The cable doesn’t look like Cable Expert cables I have purchased in the past from other retailers. I’m a bit suspect of the…
