Block sheers hole should be bigger, pairing knife too long for stated use Nice knife set. The hole for the sheers should be a bit larger–have to get it just right to get it in with banging the sides and scrapping the paint around the hole (and I say paint, because I’d expect stain to go deeper).Could have used a smaller “paring knife” to have a shorter blade–it is about the size of the steak knives… makes it almost dangerous to use for, well, paring an apple…

Nice set of knives but… I am happy with this knife set. They are sharp and have a good feeling in your hand. However, I am not happy that I have to buy two more knives if I want the block full without any open spaces.

Buyer Beware! Fabulous knives, but beware — THEY ARE STILL SELLING THE RECALLED ONES! The giant Calphalon recall on many of their knives began in February of 2017. I was sure by mid- October the knives would be safe to order. THEY AREN’T. The ones I received today are subject to the recall. If you order these, you will need to go to the Calphalon site so you can check the main five knives in the set. Tiny numbers on the blades reveal the week and year the knives were made, and you will likely find that you…
