Cap area distorts and leaks when hung in pack. I wish I would have read the 1 star reviews before I bought this. First use and the cap leaked horribly. I did not make it out of my house before it was dripping out of the bottom of my back pack soaking my sleeping bag. As another reviewer mentioned, once hung the cap area distorts and turns into and oval breaking the seal. I am very disappointed in this product! Camelbak should be ashamed to call this Mil Spec.
Mine didn’t seal properly. Couple things: the o ring on mine doesn’t seel properly. I bought it to replace the one that got all grimy backpacking around Grecian islands. It’s the same size as the 3L resivoir that comes with many backpacks. The tube was longer than my original. I ended up reusing my old cover because of the o ring issue.
Buy Something Else Really wanted to like this. Flatter fit in pack is good idea, as is mouthpiece cap, and other features. But two issues have made me no longer use this. First few sips out of mouth piece tastes like industrial solvent every time its used. Very strong and very disturbing. Has to be toxic. Worst, it leaks. A slow dripping leak from around main opening even when closure seems sealed. It does this every time too, eventually soaking the bottom of the backpack, whatever is in there, and your…
