I wanted a simple, low-profile back without all the extra nonsense.The main pocket is large enough to fit the bladder, insulation for the bladder (purchased separately), a small cleaning kit, and maybe a couple of additional small items.I added an insulated tube, which made a HUGE difference.I wish Camelbak made a unit just like this, but with the insulated tube (with quick disconnect mouthpiece) and a neutral grey color -…
This pack WILL maintain colder or cooler water longer. I have been using this hydration pack since it arrived. Days here in Virginia are very hot and sweaty with temps above 90F and greater than /equal to 80%RH. On setting out to mow and work on our farm, I fill the 3.0Lbladder with a pint glass of ice and the rest is dispensed cold water from our refrigerator’s ice & cold water tap.After wearing the pack for four hours while push mowing, weed eating, or tractor mowing, the water remaining would always be cool at a minimum. Awesome design I have owned over a dozen different Camelbaks, ever since the company was formed. Suffice it to say, I consider myself a bit of a Camelbak snob.Most of my old units are getting fairly worn, and the urge to buy a new version was just too strong.I received this pack and immediately noticed the straps.
