Wanted to like it, but the mold broke the Camels Bak I wanted to really like this product as so many people have said great things about this brand. However, as soon as I received it, I found the mouthpiece to be way different from any that I had used before. It took some getting used to. After getting used to it though, it wasn’t too bad. If I had rated it before, I probably would have given it 4 out of 5 stars. Then, the other thing happened. The mouthpiece itself (already an issue) started to get mold on the inside where the water passes…
Great for short hikes Use this on a weekly basis for short hikes. Good purchase.Pros: Good size, easy to hold, easy to clean, durable (has hiked several hundred miles with me), mouthpiece folds down to help keep it clean, 100% spillproof, nice color optionsCons: Wish the ring was a little bigger to make it comfortable to carry (and I have tiny hands)Overall: Yes, I recommend & would buy again
Love! I have had this CamelBak for a few weeks now and love it! It is very sturdy; even the straw is very thick. I’ve seen other reviews stating that these grow mold inside of the bite valve, which I’m sure happens eventually if the bottle isn’t cleaned often – however, there are many websites that provide instructions for cleaning the bite valve. All components of this bottle are removable and can be cleaned either by hand or on the top rack of your dish washer. I have started cleaning mine weekly…
