The purchase report says yellow but it is green, … The purchase report says yellow but it is green, I don’t know who cares about the color of their ice ax though. It is light as hell, the aluminum head makes me a little nervous as I didn’t think how light feeling that would make it feel.
Lightest Ice Axe Ever! This is the lightest ice axe I’ve ever seen, felt, used, or heard about. Sure, it’s not as useful as a standard ice axe (snow gets lodged in the bottom, e.g.), but it RULES for backpacking given its light weight. Oh yeah!
Lightest Axe Avaliable Used this in the Bugaboos in Glacier National Park in Canada for climbing (used it for technical climbing, mountaineering, and glacier travel) and it’s perfect for me. I lost the other one that I had (I think someone stole it), but either way, I needed another one and when I got this it was the exact same and perfect, as expected. Light weight and sharp.
