Nice hat, great sun protection. Light weight, crushable (stuffs in day bag) and nice broad brim. I am supposed to keep out of direct sun, for medical reasons, and this hat helps a lot. Better than sunscreen. The under-chiin strap is comfortable, and keeps the hat in place on windy days without strangling. I thought it would breathe more, but I just take the hat off for a couple of minutes if I feel sweaty, and that takes care of it. I love the bright, cheerful color. My husband can always find me when we go hiking now 🙂
Good for the price, but cheap cord lock Bought this for my mom to replace a similar hat she lost recently. She wears it for gardening and on walks around the neighborhood, She has worn it several times and likes it a lot–the brim is wide enough to shield he face from the sun. Negatives: on windy days the brim does flip up. Recently I noticed the cord lock doesn’t lock. I don’t know if it was already faulty when the hat arrived in the mail. Seems the cord dislodged from the hooks inside the lock so now the cord lock just slides up…
Great hat for adventurous days Loved these hats. I bought them for a road trip to several national parks and hiking. It looks very nice and the quality is good. I fit’s perfectly and I also got compliments too. It covers your neck and ears and you don’t need to put sun lotion on your neck and ears. Also because the top part is made of mesh fabric, it doesn’t get hot either. I definitely recommend this hat for hiking.
