It’s a good buy. I prefer a hickory handle. That is the only falt I have with this hatchet. It takes a very keen edge and holds it. I have two 12 inch mixing spoons with it. The wood was from the wood pile and seasoned 2 years. 1 of cherry and the other soft maple. No complaints here.It’s a good buy.
Excellent quality I love the quality of this, I just wish it came with a sleeve to store it. My husband is a large man (6’6″) with big hands & this fits his grasp well. We got it for camping.
