Does The Job Very easy to install. Took maybe two minutes…it fits snugly inside the removable plastic outer shell which holds the filters in place, in between the main filter and the plastic shell.I have not noticed any decreased air flow through the machine with the extra pre-filter attached…it seems to function as it always has, which is to say it does an excellent job removing particles and dust in the air around my office.What this pre-filter does seem to do is add to the…
Replace the original pre filter and you can clean these (carefully) for re-use Good pre filter replacement to add over the existing hepa filter. I needed to affix mine with a small piece of tape on each end. Also, these can be cleaned. I use the Scotch-Brite fur fighter – gently rubbing in one direction, takes off all the accumulated dust. Shake out gently afterwards, and pre filter is good to go again.
Sneezing has stopped! I purchased the GermGuardian air cleaner for my friend and it really worked good, except for one thing. He still had sneezing fits – 8,9 times a day. All the other problems he had seemed to be gone except the daily sneezing. I purchased these pre-filters and noticed they are much thicker than the pre-filter that came with the machine.
