The Trapper is a part of the Amber Bone CV Family. Many Case users call on our traditional alloy steel blades to get the job done right while enjoying its ease of re-sharpening. This durable folding knife features a peach seed jigged amber bone handle with two full length blades, the clip and spey blades. The Clip blade is commonly used as a multi-purpose blade and preferred for detail work. The spey blade has a specially curved tip making it a common all-purpose utility blade. The basic trapping and skinning blades and its light weight, it is a must-have knife for those who trap small game. This knife is constructed with our chrome vanadium (CV) steel. Some knife lovers will settle for nothing less than chrome vanadium blades, since this special formula of alloyed steel is the “original” Case blade steel. Case chrome vanadium blades are known for their edge-holding ability and easy re-sharpening. However, they are less resistant to rusting, pitting and discoloration than stainless steel. We recommend keeping a thin film of oil on the blade to maintain the finish. This ensures that your knife will be around for future generations to enjoy. This pocket knife is suitable for everyday demands, the outdoors, or hunting. Comes conveniently packaged in a box. Proudly made in the USA, hand-crafted by skilled artisans.

A truly beautiful and amazing knife A truly beautiful and amazing knife. I have always loved case knives they are well made and there are so many choices. Trappers, stockman, lock backs, etc. if you want a nicely made knife with great details case is the one you want. This knife is a trapper and it comes with a metal John Deere case. Absolute beauty and a great addition to my husbands knife collection.

Solid knife, typical Case product. I like everything about this knife save one thing that is slightly irratating – the blades are not dead center when closed against the liner. It is not rubbing or scraping the liner when opening or closing, but it is close. Now on to the main review, very solid and heavy, quality knife. This is my first full size trapper from Case and it is a little bigger than I thought it would be – neither good or bad, just “is”. Sharp SS blades from factory, don’t need to sharpen. Blue bone handles are…

Excellent knife, so-so edge. Fantastic fit and finish on an extremely durable knife. The edges of both blades were a bit dull but the carbon steel was easy to sharpen up on a waterstone. If you’re not into heavy duty knives this is not for you, it’s a pretty big knife in the pocket and you know it’s there from the weight!
