To much money for poor quality! I used it three times when i unscrewed it the third time the antenna portion came apart at the base of the antenna for the price I paid for this i expected it to last much longer. As far as transmitting goes the range was not that great.
Easily stowable for emergencies and occasional use Allows use of the Midland 75-822 while inside the vehicle for a mile or two range (about the same or just a little more) than the rubber ducky that comes with it. Easy to stash out of the way inside the vehicle, it is tunable by removing the plastic cap on the tip and using a screwdriver but don’t expect as good an swr as a “real” cb antenna. Not worth trying with a regular cb as you can get a better/taller mag mount for the same money but if storage is an issue and you don’t need…
Works surprisingly well! I bought this antenna for use on a Pontiac Grand Am. I was originally skeptical about buying this one because of the short length of the antenna, but this one came with plenty of coaxial cable while other antennas were skimpy with the amount of cable provided. I am very pleased with both the transmit and receive range when using this antenna. It doesn’t seem that performance is compromised by the short antenna length.
