Why Merino? Merino wool comes from a special breed of sheep that has extremely fine and soft wool. It is nothing like the coarse & itchy wool that most of the cheap wool socks are made with. The ultra-fine fibers make the finished product super soft and comfortable, but they also retain all the other wonderful properties of wool, which means your socks are quick wicking, breathabile, quick drying, cool in the summer and warm in the winter, even when wet.

Glad I did, seems I have a natural ability to plan my camping trips for some of the coldest weather in Florida. With nighttime temps in the 20’s (granted that’s nothing for folks in the mountains or way up north but down here that’s cold!) I still…

Steel toe work boot success. Socks are impressive. I wear them in steel toe work boots daily. These socks stay in place and in the extreme heat of the south they wick the sweat away from my foot and into my boot. I work for a railroad, which is really tough on my feet. These socks prevent my feet from getting beat up. I didn’t receive them at a discount so I wasn’t swayed in anyway to write this review. However, feel free to send me some at a discount and I’ll write another honest review just as I have here.

But last year a person selling me hiking boots explained the logic of buying a slightly too large boot and filling the space with cushiness, so I bought a pair of Darn Tough socks with a little padding. And those were nice, you know, but they were a bit shorter than I might have…
