Go back in time with cold food and drinks today when you take a Coleman 54 Quart Silver Steel Belted Cooler along with you. It looks just like the one you remember. The painted steel cooler is large enough to hold 85 cans and the stainless steel handles with rubber grips make it simple to carry. The cooler is also durable. A solid steel latch is designed to seal securely. Rust-resistant hinges and screws protect against breaking and a rustproof, leak-resistant channel drains without having to tilt the cooler. The base, lid and liner are also easy to clean.Originally manufactured by Coleman from 1954 to 1994, the classic steel-belted cooler makes a comeback in a big way as part of the company’s centennial tradition. The original steel-belted cooler was revered for its traditional look, feel, and strength, as well as its amazing performance. This time around, however, Coleman made it even better by updating the design, adding a stainless-steel lid, case, and hardware, and beefing up the insulation. The result is a cooler that bests the competition by a wide margin. The 54-quart cooler’s construction features include a stainless-steel lid and case that provide durability and protection for your food items; large, sturdy stainless-steel handles with rubber comfort grips for easy transport; a new solid-steel latch that seals better while still securing the contents; and stainless-steel hinges and screws that resist rust and breakage.

On the inside, the cooler includes a durable base and liner that are easy to clean, along with a leakproof, rust-resistant drain that empties quickly. Completely redesigned for today’s active lifestyles, the cooler measures 24.25 by 16.75 by 16.75 inches (W x H x D) and carries a limited six-year warranty.

Dollar for dollar, pound for pound, one of the best camping products on the market. Wonderful product, Coleman really has the market cornered with their line of coolers. This is hands down the vest value for the money, the plastic ones are nearly as much, not nearly as rugged, or attractive, or insulated. The only thing I wish this had was a locking device, even if it’s just a manual lever to lock it in place. The mechanism closes securely, but I suspect critters could get this thing open without too much trouble, especially smart ones like raccoons.

Timeless classic that performs great and is built to last High quality, classic design, and the ability to keep ice for 3-4 days depending on use. Bought this for Jeep camping and for the price, there is nothing more durable and capable on the market. Takes a beating and is built to last, seems just as solid as my dad’s old one from the 1970’s that he still uses today. I added a bottle opener to mine since these no longer include one. Amazon sells quite a few of these bolt-on openers, but I used the “Cheers Leader Wall Mounted Bottle Opener…

Heavy duty cooler, light duty price. For what you pay and what you get with this cooler, it is of EXCELLENT value. I did what everyone else probably did…looked at the Yeti’s and dreamed…and drooled. Then got a brisk slap across the face from my wife when she thought I might actually pay $600 ON A COOLER. Those Yeti’s may be amazing but those prices are just absurd and cannot be justified by anyone who isn’t literally a mountain man or a hunter who needs ice not to freeze for 10 days. Most of us normal guys who go weekend…
