Does it’s job, just not in wind. Length:: 0:08 Mins I’ve used this tent and rainfly for nearly two years of scouting campouts. It rains a lot on our campouts. I have had minimal water inside the tent and have not had any problems until some fairly intense winds were added to the mix this weekend.The clips that were supposed to secure the fly to the poles were inadequate. Fake!!! This is not an actual Coleman product. I ordered this just over a year ago. Living in So-Cal, we don’t get much rain. While I’ve used the tent many, many times, I never needed to use the rainfly…until this past weekend. The velcro loops on the inside of the rainfly, that are used to hold it to the frame poles, immediately ripped off with no tension put on them yet. Finally, a rainfly… What vestibule? Yes, after a lot of customer feedback Coleman finally decided to release a rainfly for their Instant Tent line. As seen in my pictures above it comes in a similar pouch and it has the same tie-down lines and pin-style stakes as the tents themselves.
