High quality, water proof boots! I was holding off on writing a review until I was able to fully test out these boots. Well, that time came today. I stepped in a puddle that turned out to be over my ankle, and not 1 drop got into my boot! And, I was standing in it for at least 10 seconds until I could find a dry spot to plant my other foot. I’ve been wearing these through the snow and rain, and they’ve been pretty good, not great on ice, but that’s what ice trekkers are for. But to be waterproof while submerged in 4″…
Light, well made, comfortable (but may run a little small) For a casual hiker (and someone who just found out he inherited a bleep-load of forest), these are terrific. They’re light weight, well put together, and the treads are disturbingly ‘catchy.’ They’re hiking boots, not work boots, so they probably won’t handle a hunk of rebar being dropped on ’em, but on the other hand they weight a lot less — so it’s easier to run from bears.One note on size: I’m a 12-1/2 wide (in US size), so I ordered the 13 wide version. Not Comfortable At All I took a chance and bought these boots. The size I normally wear is Mens 10.5 Wide US. When they arrived, I put them on and immediately felt that the left boot was smaller then the right yet both were tagged as Mens 10.5W US. I decided to wear them for a day to see if they needed breaking in. By evening time, my lower left leg was in a great deal of pain and when I took off the boot and sock, I noticed the top of the boot had been digging into the top of my left ankle and it was bleeding!
