They seem like they will be very breathable The pants are a bit longer than I expected, but the waist seems accurate. I’ll mostly be wearing these with boots, so the extra length will probably work out OK. I find these pants to be ugly, but I got them with the intention of wearing them on a 4-day trekking (hike & camp) vacation, so my main concern was function here. They seem like they will be very breathable, and being able to convert to shorts will make my load lighter.

Great hiking pants I bought these for my son who is thru hiking the Appalachian trail. They were a replacement for a pair I bought him at REI which did not hold up. The zippers broke on the rei pair so I brought them back for a refund and bought these instead. So far they have outlived the other pair with no problems. If they make it to the end, they will have passed the ultimate test. So far he has worm them for over 2 months.

The belt’s buckle never unclipped when I didn’t want it to, and the material was very light, breathable and comfortable. My only complaint is that the velcro cargo pocket did not want to stay velcroed shut. Even when I took the time to ensure that both sides were perfectly aligned, it looked like it would fall right back open again. I didn’t…
