got my normal size and they were great. Nice zipper pocket for keys while hiking The shorts fit true to size however there were many reviews that suggested to order larger, I did and they were huge. So I returned them, got my normal size and they were great. Nice zipper pocket for keys while hiking. Front pockets are roomy but don’t zip. They are a nice fit, not too short or too long.
Pockets are shallow Ok so these shorts are great! Lightweight and dry fast. I had a pair that I bought years ago from another store and the fit is about the same. I wish there was a larger pocket for a cell phone. So therefore I wear them not for sports, but for outside gardening. Since there are no back pockets they would be great for kayaking
Weird Fit I ordered these along with some Sandy River “short shorts” that are drawstring waist for hiking and fishing. These fit way better than the drawstring kind, but were kind of tight through the thighs/hips and weirdly loose around the waist–think lots of extra fabric bunched up around the elastic waistband. They weren’t a terrible fit, but they weren’t great, either. The length was perfect, though. 6″ inseam for hiking, etc. is just right for my 5’10” 30-something frame–not…
