CONDOR TOOL & KNIFE traces its proud history back to 1787, the year GERB WEYESBERG COMPANY was founded in Solingen, Germany. The quality of the swords, military knives, agricultural tools and household cutlery they manufactured made Solingen the cutlery capital of the world. Over the generations, the world’s largest manufacturer of swords and knives found it necessary to expand operations to other countries to better serve its customers. In 1964, the company formed IMACASA with a new plant in Santa Ana, El Salvador and filled it with state of the art German equipment. Some of the original local employees who were sent to Solingen for extensive training forty years ago are still working in the factory today, turning out the finest quality machetes, shovels and other hand tools.

Very good quality hatchet I have owned this hatchet for nearly two years now. I have used this hatchet for many things, from bowyery to splitting firewood while camping. This little hatchet has been used extensively for two years now and it has hardly weathered. Its hickory handle is extremely strong and the only maintenance I have had to do on it so far is drive a new wedge into the top. and essentially useless. Once it got sharpened Came unsharp, and essentially useless. Once it got sharpened, however, it was a beast! It’s not the best hatchet I own, but it’ll take a beating, and chop some wood up. For the price, I would recommend a Husqvarna, however.This Hatchet is small, and easily fits in a bag, and it comes with a beautiful, sturdy, leather sheath. I’ll be using it more in the field now that it is sharpened, and I’ll let y’all know how that goes!
Good bushcraft axe at a reasonable price For the price of this axe it’s hard to go wrong. Remember, you’re not buying (or paying for) a Hults Bruk or Gransfors Bruk axe.Immediately out of the box I wanted to see how well it worked. I had some seasoned oak that ranged from 2.5 to 3.75″ in diameter. Without sharpening or changing the contour of the blade, this little axe split that wood into kindling fairly easily.
