CONDOR TOOL & KNIFE traces its proud history back to 1787, the year GERB WEYESBERG COMPANY was founded in Solingen, Germany. The quality of the swords, military knives, agricultural tools and household cutlery they manufactured made Solingen the cutlery capital of the world. Over the generations, the world’s largest manufacturer of swords and knives found it necessary to expand operations to other countries to better serve its customers. In 1964, the company formed IMACASA with a new plant in Santa Ana, El Salvador and filled it with state of the art German equipment. Some of the original local employees who were sent to Solingen for extensive training forty years ago are still working in the factory today, turning out the finest quality machetes, shovels and other hand tools.The overall length of the knife is 14.25” and the blade length is 8.5.

Hefty Knife, Great Blade! I purchased this knife as I needed something for my re-enactment group that had a certain look, but could still take a beating. Knife arrived quickly without any issues. Sharp and straight, no issues with the blade at all. If you are expecting a nicely honed blade, purchase something else. The blade arrives rather rough, which is perfect for what needed. Quality that is affordable Upon the arrival of the box I was hoping I wouldn’t open it up and find a D+ high school shop project. After I opened it up I saw a well packed knife with a very durable looking sheath. The sheath alone in my opinion is well worth the price paid. The knife has a great hammered look to it and is very thick and sturdy. The edge came sharp but could use a bit of TLC. The only thing I did to the edge was run it over my R.H. This knife is awesome! Thick I bought this knife with the purpose of batoning and heavy bushcraft in mind. This knife is awesome! Thick, sturdy, full tang construction. The walnut handle feels good in the hand. The leather sheath provided is thick and provides excellent protection for the knife. The knife is built like a dump truck and has the desirable scandi grind, making it very easy to sharpen and well suited for heavy bushcraft when you need more than your standard bushcraft knife.
