Worked in a rainforest, kept our necks unburnt and our heads dry. We ordered these for wandering around Puerto Rico. We burn pretty easily, so we needed hats with brims, but we were going to humidity central and needed a little breathability. The good, the bad and the ugly! The good: Great hat really like the stiff brim and how light and cool the hat is.The bad: Amazon folded the hat at the 10 & 2 position, and ruined the stiff brim.The ugly: Me wearing a hat that has a messed-up brim.Up-date: the seller has offered me a refund even though it was not their fault it was Amazon’s fault. Affordable and Not-Incredibly-Ridiculous-Looking Sun Protection – lightweight and breathable- brim is really wide and blocks sun well- brim is rigid enough to hold shape- snaps to fasten sides up- not super deep (so you can pull it down tight)- neck chord is handy when you go indoorsTook this to the caribbean for a week and it worked like a champ. I don’t “tan” and I don’t have a lot of hair, so protecting my head from sun is key. This hat, although a bit silly feeling at first, was perfect.
