Good table light but not good for hanging. Yes it is bright and I do like the adjustability of the brightness, however there are some major design flaws. First the handle has a curved part that is meant to act as a hook for hanging. While it is a great idea when folded it rests against the clear plastic of the lamp and will scratch it in no time. A rugged well built piece of equipment with A DIMMER KNOB! Strong clean light with pleasant glow from diffuser on lower brightness levels. I especially like the amber night light feature, found it perfect for getting up in the middle of the night in a crowded cabin with least amount of disturbance for the rest of my camping companions. great lantern This is a very bright (and large lantern) and I appreciate its 2 brightness levels as well as the nightlight setting. The control knob is a little imprecise, which is why I’m giving the lantern 4 stars. Additionally, I’m not in love with the color temperature of the light, but I realize that most bright LEDs are of the cool white type. I wish they’d make a warm white version, too.
