The 4.50″ full tang blade has a tapered Wharncliffe grind for great penetrating power. It is made of exceptionally tough 9Cr18MoV high-chromium stainless steel to stand up to the worst abuse. The handle features a deep finger choil and textured G10 scales with deep diagonal grooves for optimum grip with gloved hands and under wet conditions, aided by deep friction grooves at the thumb. At the pommel, a pointed metal hammer tip is useful for window breaking and other tactical impact needs.

Great knife, sheath functionality not so much First off I was a little surprised at the size of the knife when I got it. It was a little bigger than I expected. Second, The picture of the sheath is misleading. The mounting bracket shown is not what it comes with. In the picture you can open the bracket to place on a belt and then close in the vertical/ horizontal position. It’s okay. The blade was sharpish but not as sharp as the much cheaper Mora that I got. The point was sharper than the truly pointless SPEW that I tried. Again, not as sharp as the much cheaper Mora.The handle scales are OK, nowhere near as nice looking and grippy as the SPEW. Great knife This is my second crkt dragon that I have purchased and I am very fond of it. I bought this one with modifying it in mind. It is very nice little knife. The steel is very sharp and there are no obvious flaws. The handle is small and anyone with large hands will not like it.
