It’s a nice dinner knife when a dressed buck is on the menu.

The Mossback Hunter fixed blade hunting knife offers a 3.2” drop point blade, G10 handle and nylon sheath in a package that’s ready to hit the field. This is the one to have on your belt when you’re carrying a lot of venison on your back.

Tom Krein from Gentry, Arkansas, truly lived the motto of form follows function when designing this knife. Having served as an ER trauma nurse, he learned a lot about ergonomics and human anatomy. Not to mention the anatomy of animals being an avid hunter. Over the years, he’s used this background and a hefty dose of knife knowledge to create over 13 noteworthy blades.

However you use it, the Mossback Hunter comes up big on cutting power. Use it with an inverted hold and you’ll find the drop point blade is big enough for all North American game. Yet you can also cap it with your finger while dressing. All that tasty venison meat never saw it coming.

With a tough G10 handle, it’s also incredibly durable and feels great in your hand. Meanwhile a nylon sheath makes it easy to attach to your belt or strap to your pack. This knife looks even better in action.

If you’re a deer hunter who has been looking for a faster way to process your game, your Mossback Hunter has arrived.

Excellent little knife This guy is very well made & comes with great edge on it. I own quite a few CRKT knives & find them all well made, durable and sharp. I think they are excellent tools at a good price. As for this critter, I’ve used it on a bunch of pheasants last season. Worked great and the edge is still sharp. Barely need a touch up after about a dozen birds. The grip is nicely made & feels very good in the hand. No slipping. I have not used it on trout yet, but now that spring has sprung, I plan to…

Makes a great set. I purchased the Mossback hunter as well, and am very happy with both knives. The bird & Trout came very sharp right out of the box. Handle is good and allows for a good grip. I was prepared to hate the nylon sheath but it ain’t bad. CRTK has a leather sheath available for both knives for sale separately on their website but both are out of stock. Would have preferred the leather sheath came with the knife, but we will see if they become available again. For both mossback models, I think…

Izula killer. Awesome edc. I love this knife. My preferred every day carry system involves a small fixed blade with a 3+ inch blade and a small pocket knife. This is absolutely my favorite factory blade for edc trumping the TOPS scandi trekker, scandi woodsman, becker bk11, and the esee izula/izula 2. The only thing that comes close that I’ve owned would be a spyderco enuff or an esee 3. Only difference here is this knife has a slightly longer blade than the enuff and a more comfortable handle than an esee 3. It’s also…
