A good choice I had to buy some hiking boots in a pinch because my goods ones were inaccessible (in storage) but I was going to be in a situation where I needed good traction and some ankle support. The price on these was reasonable, and I really liked the looks, but I was nervous to buy them because of some complaints I read that they ran small. I resist buying shoes online because of the problem of getting the right fit and comfort, but noone in town sells hiking boots for women in the early summer (???)…

Perfect sturdy boot! I have been searching for a comfortable leather sturdy ankle boot for a long time. These are exactly what I wanted! The toe is broad and comfortable even with my wool socks. The ankle portion is soft and pliable and doesn’t hurt or abrade my ankles or ankle bones. They’re stylish yet obviously not for dressing up—–perfect for my jeans and a nice wool sweater and scarf. I recommend these to everyone.

The only place that even offered over-the-ankle hiking boots for women was REI but I cannot spend $150+ on a pair of hiking boots right now. So I turned to the internet.
