Good book to read aloud with a child. I love this book! It is such a different kind of “princess” book and portrays a realistic little girl as the subject. I am looking forward to purchasing the next books in the series. The illustrations are just right and the text is fun to read. I think it is a perfect book to read with your own little “princess” — especially if she likes to wear hiking boots!

These books are very cute and have the right mix of little girl power and practical advice for them to learn.As a dad, I am always looking for books for my girls that balance the over compensating push toward being boys and the practical life skills that every girl should have. These have the right mix, encouraging girls to be girls and proud of it, while also encouraging them to break free of social limits and be adventurous and outdoorsy. Great mix, good read.
This is a Wonderful Book for a Little Princess! My three-year-old daughter loves anything that has to do with princesses, as I’m sure most young girls do! She loves for me to read to her as much as I love it so I figured I would look for a princess book that we didn’t already have for part of her birthday present.
