Need to improve customer service and product- don’t recommend purchase Had I written this review in April 2017 (when I purchased this unit) it would have been at least a four star review- but after using it for a while it has become un-useable. I used the XGPS150A to provide GPS to my iPad Mini and run Navionics + (a boating program app). Generally I could get the GPS unit to link with the iPad Mini via Bluetooth (although it sometimes required a couple of tries to connect). Then comes along Apple iOS updates and no longer will the Bluetooth connect. Spent 30…

My WiFi only iPAD mini now has GPS! Google Maps…bring it on! It works much better than I had expected. I have an older WiFi only iPad Mini (1st generation) running ios 9.3.5 that I wanted to use for navigation but as you all know, WiFi only ipads do not have built-in GPS. Impressive I purchased the XGPS150A to use with an older iPad running the Hema Explorer app for highway and off-road use. The GPS receiver easily connected with bluetooth to the iPad. The companion XGPS150A app worked well enough to know the GPS was connected and working, displaying satellite strength and battery life.
