Great for heating sides or extras on the grill. This review is for the .25 quart cast iron casserole with lid. I received this today knowing it would be small. Small it is but is perfect for warming up barbecue sauce on the grill, melting butter for corn on the cob or what I like, opening up a can of mushrooms and heating them up with some butter to serve on top of steak or hamburgers. This would be to small for any kind of side dish unless for one person. Cute little size for extras or sauces. Made nice and sturdy and I like the fact…

Excellent Cast Iron Pan This is my first experience with a cast iron pan. I made a frittata and this pan worked so well, both on the stove and in the oven. The quality is excellent and cooking with this pan makes food delicious! I highly recommend it.

Inspect for possible fractures/defects before use. I actually liked this pan till it exploded. My first time owning a cast iron. I’m thinking there was a tiny fracture and water had gotten inside during the last cleaning. It was only on the stove a few minutes then it loudly “popped” leaving the pan in two large pieces. No one was hurt but it scared the bejesus out of me.
