Batteries NOT included In the title of this item, it clearly says (Batteries Included). Mine definitely did not have batteries. Other than that, the light itself works great when you put your own batteries in it.
Awesome lantern, pretty durable Awesome lantern, pretty durable, great materials, lightweight, the main usage of this lantern for me is Camping, totally recommended, the only recommendation is to add a hook like my old Energizer Weatheready LED Lights – 360 Area Lantern, but still pretty versatile.
Simple controls, uses D cells, is bright but without harsh glare. I needed a lantern with simple controls that takes big commonly available batteries. The controls are simple and it take D cells. It is bright enough to easily read or cook by and unlike many similar products, it does not burn your eyeballs out with LED glare. This is not a backpacking lantern. It is much to big and heavy. It is fine for car camping and home power outages. If you live in Florida during hurricane season, get several and a box of D cells.
