Poor quality – defective. Defective, could never get working correctly. Would shut off after a few seconds. There is a ‘demo’ mode which it claims can be turned off by removing batteries for 10 seconds and reinserting. That wasn’t it. After replacing batteries (and having checked voltages with a volt meter to ensure they were fresh) it would just flash quickly (like a strobe) for a second then shut off…eventually tried hooking it up to a power supply which always puts out 6.2 volts and still no dice. Two Failures Purchased one just before a camping trip. Nice bright even light, but failed after a short time. Luckily, it was within Amazon’s return period, so returned that and got another … which I quickly tested then set aside for the next camping trip … last weekend. Excellent alternative to clunky camping lanterns This is a great, versatile product for camping trips, to keep in your car in case you’re stuck on the side of the road at night, or as in my case, when the power goes out at home.
