Flat toe seam, but they don’t stay up well on thick calves Pros: Soft fabric, and the toe seam really is flat; I can’t feel it at all.Cons: Too big, and they don’t stay up (I do have thick calves).l wear men’s size 9 boots. These socks were more than a full inch too long in the foot. I experimented with shrinking a couple pairs. One pair I washed in warm water and let air dry; that one was still a bit big on the foot, but it didn’t bunch if I pulled it all the way up my leg (I’m short, so they come mostly over my calves)…
Everything except durability Comfortable, warm, but not durable. When i got these i was very happy with how soft they are, they are not scratchy at all. They are very warm, i was having to wear two pairs of cotton ‘work’ socks but one pair of these is just as warm, but less crowded inside the shoe.However, i work 12 shifts and i guess that is just too long for wool. I can put them on in the morning and some days when i take them off my heel is completely sticking out a hole. They don’t develop holes slowly like…
Design Flaws Galore These socks are built so strangely. I wear normal men’s socks for work and they fit my feet, but these heels go halfway up the backs of my calves. The toes and uppers are a weird open weave. I have only worn them for a couple of hours and they are pilling up already. They keep my feet warm, but I am afraid they are just going to dissolve in the wash. I definitely feel as if I threw my money away.
