The Esbit 20 x 4 g solid fuel cubes are virtually smokeless and residue-free with a burn time of approximately 5 minutes. Each box includes 20 cubes. This is a bundle of 3 boxes or 60 cubes total. They have a strong heat output, ignite with a match or lighter and lightweight and compact. When stored properly, Esbit solid fuel mantains its full functionality for many years. They work great for that application I bought these tablets to run a small hobby table top steam engine. They work great for that application, giving enough heat to convert the water to steam and drive the engine, but not so much heat that it causes the watertank to warp. The tablet runs out of heat about the time the water runs out, so these are the perfect size..
These Esbit solid fuels cubes are awesome for my needs Packaged for use. It took a little experimentation to find the easiest way to light these solid fuel cubes – once lit they work great. I use these Esbit solid fuel cubes with a Canway wood stove. I think just 1 fuel cube should provide enough heat to bring 2 cups of water nearly to a boil (perfect for freeze-dried hot meals), but I have always added a few small twigs and thin branches. I have already ordered a second box, and will likely order more.
