The 11.75″ ESEE-6P is a full tang 1095 high carbon steel construction with an black powder coated flat ground 6.50″ blade. This blade features jimping on the spine for increased thumb grip. The Handle is made out of grey Micarta canvas, with a lanyard hole in the rounded pommel. Includes durable olive drab molded polymer carry sheath with removable clip. Carbon steel knives are preferred by those who want a sharp, long-lasting edge. Our carbon steel knives are made from 1095 steel. And while 1095 is a top choice for professional cutlery designed for hard use, it will rust and stain if not properly cared for – especially on the cutting edge and around the laser engraving. It is the user’s responsibility to keep the blades properly lubricated and cleaned. We suggest using a dry film rust inhibitor such as TUF-GLIDE or TUF-CLOTH.

They are both amazing knives, and very similar – it’s hard to … I own this knife and the RAT-7 that it is often compared to. They are both amazing knives, and very similar – it’s hard to articulate why one is better than the other, but it may be illustrative that when I was purchasing a knife for my brother as a gift, i got him the this one (the ESEE 6). If i had to own just one, i would probably choose the ESEE 6 as well – mainly because of the warranty (ESEE has a no-questions-asked repair/replacement lifetime transferable warranty). This doesn’t give…

Awesome knife…not-so-awesome sheath ESEE knives have quickly become my favorite. I love the color schemes, durability, design, and quality. They can chop branches and stay pretty sharp…sharpenings aren’t required very often. The blade and handle on the 6P are slightly thinner than those of the ESEE 5, and the knife overall is not as hefty or meaty. The knife is awesome, but the sheath…it lacks the quality of those that came with the other ESEE’s I have (3, 5, Candiru). For a knife of its size (and price tag), the quality…

Great tough knife. Be aware that the sheath is a belt-clip design not a belt loop style. I am totally happy with this knife. It’s a tough no-nonsense tool, not something that was just made to look pretty in a knife collection. Out of the box the knife was very sharp. The sheath is very durable and the knife fits snuggly. I would have preferred to have a belt loop design instead of the clip-on style but the clip works well. The knife is soundly locked in the sheath so to takes a good tug to pull it out.I added the accessory pouch. It’s great if you have an…
