Disappointed I have had this grabber for 4years and never had a problem with it so I did not understand why people were complaining about the poor quality. So since the cost was so good I decided to order 2 more to use in other rooms since I was always forgetting to take it with me. It did not disappoint me. It works great. It uses a metal cable instead of string or rope. I’ve been using it 50 to 75 times a day at my workplace 5 days per week for at least a month and it has given me no problems.Addendum:After writing the initial review above, I am adding some more. Work fine, just as advertised. Bought this to use after back surgery, and it works fine, just as advertised. I’m 5’11” and the length is just right for me. The grip is fine enough to pick up items like a single piece of paper (after a couple of tries :-); I haven’t tried anything over a pound or so, but there’s clearly some upper weight limit.Hint: for the first few weeks after my surgery, I was using a walker.
