Batteries not installed… I’ve got 50 of these to give away for Halloween this year, just like I’ve done the last 4-5 years 🙂 In past orders these came with the batteries installed already and a protective plastic tab on the inside to prevent accidental activation. It was already time consuming to unwrap the lights and remove that tab, and adding batteries to all 50 lights is going to take almost an hour. Ugh.Add to that the batteries come wrapped in pairs. All worked. Good value! I bought these for loot bags for my son’s 7th birthday party. They were a hit! All 16 worked. Very bright. The reviewers that reported receiving dud ones were probably inserting the battery canisters the wrong way. First, you need to place the batteries the correct direction in the battery canister, then you must insert the canister into the flashlight the right way, which actually is easy to get wrong, as both ends look almost identical! Anyway, I had mistakenly inserted the canisters…
No batteries included!! **See update. These flashlights (16 pack) did NOT have any batteries inside them. Batteries-included was the reason I purchased these because I didn’t want to go out and buy batteries, especially not 48 AAA’s . I can imagine it could cost more than the flashlights to buy them. They were intended for 16 stockings I am preparing and although I wasn’t expecting top quality batteries, I did expect batteries in general. I have no idea if they work because I don’t have any spare AAA’s and even if they worked…
