Seem to be exactly the same as the original cuisinart filters. I happened to have a pack of original Cuisinart filters and compared these cheap knockoffs to them. They appear to be identical in size, weight and composition. They ARE smaller than the Cuisinart brewer basket but so are the originals, even the ones that came in the box with the brewer. So I don’t think they’re intended to fully block the water intake but for the water to flow over them.The price is definitely right. A little charcoal and some fabric shouldn’t cost as much as…

Worked for me, BUT – SOAK & RINSE!!! Just make sure you follow the instructions and SOAK them, rinse them and re-rinse before using them. After doing this, and looking at the water in the mug, I was SO glad I didn’t just pop them in! See pictures.I hope this is Helpful to others who have bought, or will buy, these. They work, just rinse them first! (I soaked them for at least 10 minutes, then rinsed a few times until the water was clear).
