The perfect fire tool for carry in a knife sheath ferro-loop or just in a pack. The tool is simple in design and offers plenty of storage for tinder or water purification tablets. The ferrocerium rod is replaceable so you won’t need to discard this tool when the rod is worn out. Use a sharp 90 degree edge to strike such as the spine of a knife.

Premium Firesteel. This is the Cadillac of firesteels. There is no imperfection in any way with this product. The price is what you pay for this kind of high quality materials and detail in a firesteel of this caliber. Love the fact that you can carry a small amount of fire tinder ( cotton ball with Vaseline ) in the handle. I have two now. This fire rod will throw a shower of sparks that are more than enough to start a fire by anybody experienced in using the ferrocerium rod method of fire starting.
