Exotac fireRod Product itself is pretty nice. I like having storage for one guaranteed fire on hand inside the ferro rod. However my qualm is with the seller. Item in picture shows different color O-ring than is received. The instructions inside the box also say there is an included shock cord which there is NOT. Worth every penny Top notch firesteel ! Superior quality. The capsule part of it is made of aircraft aluminum and will hold a tinder quick or a half of a cottonball . It comes with a spare o-ring, so you can have confidence that your tinder is not gonna get wet. Excellent little piece of kit I am very pleased with this item. The quality of the construction is excellent and the details built into it are very smart. There are two main features that stand out. The first is that the Firerod has a small watertight capsule that will hold enough tinder to get a fire going. I have a small piece of fatwood wrapped in a length of jute twine.
