Great aid for macular degeneration “I bought this for my mom who has macular degeneration. She needs a lot of lighting to read some things or to do some sewing. It’s not always convenient to carry her bright lamp to every spot in the house and holding a flashlight with one hand gets tiresome. This headlamp works out great and very bright, just what she needs. I wonder how many people use it for this reason? Also, my mom can’t stand anything on her head but this is light enough that she can tolerate it.”…

I finally got to try it out this weekend camping and it is fantastic. i like the carrying case for protection and it makes it easy to put somewhere where i can find it. the controls are user friendly. It was easy to adjust and the illumination levels were appropriate and the red light option is a must. The head strap was surprisingly comfortable to the point that i forgot i had it on my head. My only suggestion is minor and it would be to make the red light have different illumination…

It has a cool feature that allows you to use one specific brightness of your choice. If you leave it on a specific brightness for a couple of seconds it stores that as your preference automatically and will turn off directly from that setting (instead of cycling through brightness levels) and turn on directly to that brightness setting again (instead of cycling through brightness levels).
