desent little kit…. This little kit is nice!, you could easily make one yourself, but it has everything and you can utilize the tin for char cloth as well….
GREAT little pre-made Kit! Great little pre-made kit. This ferro rod, is large, throws great sparks, plenty of good FAT-WOOD pieces. Mine also came with thick black rubberband to secure it closed (also burns well) well put together and thought out. The ferro rod and striker appear to be the same as the rod with the 30-06 casing one they sell, (I have both , 2 is 1, 1 is none!). pick them both up.Ferrocerium Flint Fire Starter Survival Ferro… . A Great Pocket Fire Kit This is a surprisingly great little kit. It comes with a small wad of jute, a ferro rod, a saw-toothed striker, a pouch of fat wood shavings, and a bunch (mine had 26) sticks of fatwood about the diameter of a pencil. All of this fits in a tin a bit larger than an Altoids. It looks exactly like the product picture.
